THE CLIFF.

It’s 6.30 am and the sun is rising in Africa. As its golden light spreads across the lake, far below your cliff top hideaway, the water ripples and transforms, like a desert rose, into a shimmer of pink, as a flamboyance of flamingos begins a new day.

Each tent is built on solid foundations at the edge of the cliff, and faces the lake, allowing guests 180 degree views of the panoramic paradise, yet maintaining privacy. Not wanting to waste the view, the tent is spacious and the freestanding bath looks outwards. While the exterior environment at The Cliff is pure Africa, the room interiors combine organic chic with international design to create the understated style of a modern boutique hotel.

Kicheche Bush Camp.

Is located in a superb wildlife area in Olare Motorogi Conservancy bordering the Masai Mara Reserve. The game viewing is first class and the exclusivity of the Conservancy ensures a high quality African safari and Kenya holiday experience with low density tourism.

Six stylish tents spread out under Acacia trees.

Spacious en-suite bathroom with traditional ‘safari’ style bucket shower

A personal atmosphere prevails at Bush where you will mix with other guests and your hosts at meals and around the fire each evening for an aperitif

Lunch under the trees or in a form of a picnic while in the Conservancy

Lighting is supplied 24 hours; however sadly the solar system does not allow hair dryers

 WI-FI in the lounge

GAME DRIVES

Early morning and late afternoon are the most productive hours for game drives and our safari customised 4WD vehicles give everyone a perfect view. Watching wildlife at close range, but without encroaching on their space, is endlessly fascinating and our guides’ instincts and experience provide superb photo opportunities of wild animals.

Our vehicles are superbly designed for photographers, all our fleet is open-sided with open roofs. Cameras can be rested on the roof, with supplied beanbags, or on the armrests lower down, to which we can mount simple platforms for larger lenses.

OLOLO SAFARI LODGE

Owned and run by an Australian farming family, offers the warmth and comfort of a home with effortless style and personalized service.  Originally an old Kenyan homestead and since converted to a small lodge, Ololo is perfectly situated, on the beautiful banks of the Mbagathi River which forms the southern border of the Nairobi National Park.

From the lodge we shall do a visit to Daphne Sheldricks Elephant Orphanage and to Nairobi National Park
