A very important feature of our Sri Lankan safari is the limited group size, as nature encounters are best experienced within the intimate setting of a small group. This tour is only in February for the whale watching experience.

DAY 1: Arrival Bandaranaike International Airport, Colombo (L,D) 

Staying at Claughton Wild Resort transfer 4 hours.

Meet your Wildlife Dreams Representative and Jetwing Eco Holidays Naturalist guide. Transfer to Claughton Wild Resort on the borders of Wilpattu National park. On route we stop to give you a refreshing drink of King Coconut.

DAY 2: Wilpattu National park (B, L, D)

10 minute drive to the park entrance.

.Full day safari in the park starting at 6:00am (Departure from the resort is at 5:30am). Breakfast and Lunch will be packed and set up as a pick nick within the park. Return to the lodge around 6:30pm for a refreshing drink, dip in the pool and dinner.

DAY 3: Wilpattu National park (B, L, D)

Staying at Claughton Wild.


“Willpattu national park is one of the islands oldest and largest protected areas. The name when translated to English means the land of the lakes, this is due to the presence of natural water bodies like lakes which are actually lime stone depressions in the land that hold water. The park is home to a host of wildlife such the Sri Lankan Leopard, Sloth Bear, Spotted Deer and Elephants. It is also home to a wide variety of species of birds”

DAY 4: Transfer from Wilpattu to Sigiriya (B, L,D)

Staying at Jetwing Vil Uyana.

Morning safari in Wilpattu National park. Return to the resort by 10am, checkout and drive to Sigiriya.

Arrive at Jetwing Vil Uyana for Lunch. Night time Loris watching experience with the hotel Naturalist. The walk starts at 6:30pm and ends around 8:30-9. The grounds are also home to Fishing Cats, Rusty Spotted Cats, Civets and Eurasian Otters.

DAY 5: Transfer from Sigiriya to Nuwara Eliya. 
Staying Jetwing St. Andrews. (B, L, D)

Breakfast at 8 and then check out and drive from Sigiriya to Nuwara Eliya.

 In the night you have the option of heading out in the night on an optional frog watching experience in the hotel proximity.

DAY 6: Transfer from Nuwara Eliya to Yala N.P  (B, L, D)  Staying at Makini Bush Camp.

“Yala National park found along the southern coast of the island is known over the world over for being able to see and photograph the Sri Lankan Leopard. The parks is known to hold the highest density of leopards in the world.

Evening game drive to block 5 of Yala starting at 3:30Pm. Back at Camp by 6:45pm a dip on your private plunge pool and then dinner around the camp fire.

DAY 7: Yala National Park, Staying at Kithala

Transfer to Jetwing Yala after lunch.

Morning safari in Block 5 of Yala National park, with a packed breakfast and return to camp for lunch.

Transfer to Jetwing Yala. Afternoon safari in Block 1 of the park.

 

DAY 8: Yala National park (B, L, D)

Staying at Kithala Resort

Full Day Safari in Yala Block 1 of Yala National Park with a packed breakfast and lunch which will be served by the river. Back to the hotel by 6:30pm for a dip in the pool drinks and dinner.

 

DAY 9: Mirissa (B, D) 
Transfer from Yala National park to Mandara Resort Mirissa 

Morning safari in block 1 of Yala National park. Transfer to Galle after lunch. Stilt fishermen photography opportunity on route, which is a unique and iconic image of Sri Lanka.

Rest and Relax in the evening.

 

DAY 10: Galle – Mirissa (B, L, D)

Staying at the Mandara Resort Mirissa

Leave the hotel at 5 am with a packed breakfast to the Mirissa Fisheries Harbor, form where we head out to sea on a whale watching expedition. Takes about 3-6 hours.

Turtle watching in the afternoon.

DAY 11:  Negombo (B, L, D)

Morning Whale Watching Expedition.

After Lunch Transfer to Jetwing Lagoon

DAY 12: Home (B, L,) 

Breakfast and Lunch relaxing at the hotel before your flight.
